I'll confirm with Mike, but I think he already mentioned it to me.

The closest motel is actually in Larimore, about 15 mile north of Northwood.

The weekend is getting a bit more interesting. Sunday is also a test and tune day for members of Red River Valley Pullers. www.rrvpa.com

if he starts the dynoing saturday, about what time does he usuallly do it? and how far away is that hotel from his place? id like to see some sled pulling first hand...-jake

Like John said the closest motel is in Larimore roughly 15 miles from Northwood. Otherwise Grand Forks is like a half hour drive east/north east of Northwood, and lots of motels and things to do here. That would be great if people could bring their campers up to the shop and stay there. Should be the best meet for Mike so far!

Dang it.

I just looked at the RRVPA and there are only about 3 pulls that will fit into my schedule. Mostly I am working all those weekends and a lot are just Way farther than I want to drive.

Just found out that the local club, Full Pull inc is sorta kinda half heartedly talking of adding a street diesel class also. But I am not holding my breath on that one.

Looks like the test and tune dyno day pull I will do and the last pull of the year at Mikes will fit my schedule. And a BIG Maybe on the New Rockford pull. The rest are too far for me.

well ive never been to mikes, so i dont know where is it located form that town (my original question) and i just spoke with him and forgot to ask lol! said dynoing starts at about ten am, have to check to see when id have to leave duluth by...he said diesel power just might also be there this year...

Ohhh gotchya.. Well his shop is 15 miles south of Larimore, which is located on Highway 2 rougly 30-40 miles west of Grand Forks which is located on Hwy2 and I29.. right on ND/MN border.

That would be SWEEEEET.

Would be nice to see some of the more local boys get a chance to get in the Mag. Having a dyno day and sled pull would be a good draw for them to see some of the local talent.

well i think im gonna get to duluth that thursday or friday prior, and have chad spray my bed...gotta look good for the rest of the guys!!! itd be so much easier to just head there from wy ( only 9 hrs) but i do need my bed sprayed as well...so head out of duluth about 5am, get to mikes, and leave about 5pm...then back off to wy sunday or monday lol!!! how do we lock in a spot on the dyno???

If guys need to hit an hotel, I've found the best rates at the Travelodge in East Grand Forks. When I have stayed there during the week for work they've always given me a $30 or $35 a night rate during the week. I hope I can snag that rate on a weekend, we'll see. I'd also be game to stay at a hotel that others are staying at. Should we try to coordinate?
